Our Story
Java Catz was founded by Kristin Fuller and her two teenagers in the North Atlanta area after a life-changing encounter with a community cat living in the woods behind their home. One day, they discovered three-week-old kittens in their backyard, which sparked their journey into rescue and fostering. Over the course of three months, they worked tirelessly to trap the mother cat, whom they lovingly named McFlurry. After providing her with the necessary vet care, vaccinations, and spaying, they found loving homes for all five of her babies. McFlurry now provides nurturing and affection to all of our kittens that come to us through fostering filling in as a surrogate mamma to these babies.

This experience opened their hearts to the world of fostering, and they quickly realized the profound need for rescue and support in their community. Since then, the Fuller family has dedicated their time and energy to rescuing abandoned kittens and mamma cats, offering a safe and loving environment for them to heal and grow. They also provide foster care for local shelters, ensuring that these vulnerable animals receive the love and care they deserve. What began as a single act of kindness has blossomed into a lifelong mission to give every cat a chance at a better life.
